FM Logistic is launching a new groupage service to Austria, thereby expanding its European transport network. This move is in response to changing market needs and the growing popularity of smaller-volume shipments. From January this year, the logistics operator will provide daily deliveries on the Wrocław – Vienna route.

The decline in consumption across many industries, coupled with the growing trend of ordering smaller batches of goods, means that traditional transport models are becoming less efficient. Consequently, high-frequency connections, short transit times and additional services that offer greater flexibility in distribution planning are becoming increasingly important.

Customers using groupage transport to Austria will benefit from daily connections and a wide range of services, including priority deliveries, hourly services and fixed deliveries. This will be key to
remaining competitive in a demanding market environment,” says Mariusz Bala, Director of International Distribution Network Development at FM Logistic.

In the case of groupage transport to Austria carried out by FM Logistic, a key element is the extensive transhipment network comprising 16 terminals in Poland and 14 in Austria. This enables full control over the distribution process and ensures a transit time of just 3–4 working days. Entrepreneurs gain the ability to plan sales and production more flexibly, thereby minimising the risk associated with demand fluctuations and optimising logistics costs.

FM Logistic combines physical transport with advanced digital solutions. Thanks to full EDI/API support and the Track & Trace system, we provide our business partners with complete process transparency and operational convenience,” says Mariusz Bala. The operator’s offering is further enhanced by specialised services, including the transportation of dangerous goods (ADR) and pallet exchange services, relieving customers of administrative and operational burdens.

Launching the connection with Austria is part of the operator’s broader strategy to develop groupage services. In the near future, the company plans to expand further into key European markets. These investments are aimed at optimising costs and strengthening the potential of companies operating in the Central Europe region, facilitating business growth and expansion overseas.
