Groupe SEB is a global leader in the manufacturing of small domestic appliances and professional coffee machines, operating in 150 countries. In Poland, the company provides products for as many as 35 brands, the most popular being Tefal and Krups.
Due to dynamic sales growth and a strategy of broad accessibility, Groupe SEB focuses on an omnichannel approach – ranging from its own brand stores and multi-brand retailers to e-commerce.
Key priorities for the client include maintaining a leading position in new product categories and ensuring the highest efficiency of logistics processes.
The main challenge in this project was managing a demanding distribution channel to stores located in city centers and shopping malls, where timing is critical. The operator had to navigate restrictive local regulations and shopping mall rules that limit delivery windows to just a few or several dozen minutes.
Additional difficulties included infrastructural barriers, such as entry bans for trucks in city centers, a limited number of loading docks, small warehouse space at collection points, and the need for weight control of individual pallets handled by small store staff teams.
The entire process had to be designed to prevent out-of-stock situations, which – given seasonal sales spikes reaching up to a threefold increase in volume – became a task of the highest complexity.
To meet these requirements, FM Logistic implemented a distribution system based on an extensive cross-dock infrastructure. Goods stored at Groupe SEB’s main warehouse in Sereď, Slovakia, are transported to transshipment points, guaranteeing timely deliveries.
The foundation of the cooperation was advanced operational communication and precise loading planning. A proactive response model was applied, where every operation is coordinated in real-time, allowing for the optimal use of warehouse space and human resources.

The implemented solutions allowed for effective supply chain optimization, resulting in high client satisfaction. Thanks to the cross-dock network, goods always reach stores on time, even within the most restrictive delivery windows. Partnering with an experienced operator provided Groupe SEB with operational security during peak sales periods when volumes triple. Effective internal and external communication enabled continuous process improvement and the rapid resolution of logistical difficulties.

FAQ
The key to success in shopping mall deliveries is leveraging an extensive network of cross-dock warehouses and precise operational communication. In the case of Groupe SEB, goods are consolidated and distributed so that transport reaches the collection point exactly within the designated, often 15-minute time slot. This avoids fines imposed by facility managers and ensures a smooth restocking process.
The main challenges are infrastructural barriers, such as truck entry bans in city centers and the lack of loading docks at smaller retail outlets. We solve this by selecting an appropriate vehicle fleet and processing deliveries in a way that allows store staff to efficiently receive and verify goods without blocking the retail space.
During periods such as Black Friday or the pre-Christmas season, where volumes increase several times over, the flexibility and proactivity of the logistics operator are essential. Thanks to a planning model based on real-time data and appropriate resource management in central and regional warehouses, we are able to guarantee delivery continuity regardless of a sudden surge in orders.
In the domestic appliance industry, seasonality (e.g., Black Friday) can mean a several-fold increase in orders. Our strategy for Groupe SEB is based on high responsiveness and flexible warehouse resource management. Through fast data exchange and proactive planning, we ensure continuity of supply even during sudden volume surges, protecting the client from lost revenue due to lack of product availability on the store shelf.
